Custom 2 channel all tube handwired preamp

This project was the dream of a guitar player in the Seattle area, William Thomas Anderson.  He was looking for a way to get more tone out of his rig and we branistormed and decided that a 2 channel preamp was what would do it.  William needed it to be in a 1U rack cabinet, all tube and have Fender tone and Matchless tone.

Check out this: Custom 2 channel all tube handwired preamp in 1U rack, 1 channel is Fender Twin, 2nd channel is Matchless Cheiftain

The Super Knob

This started off for a guitar player in Wisconsin, William Dean.  He asked for 50 watt all tube amp that would fit in a standard fender cabinet but he wanted more than just a bassman clone.  After talking about what he wanted, we decided that a 50 watt version of The Knob, would be perfect.  We used 6sj7 octal tubes along with 6sn7 tubes for a classic tone then 2 XEL34's in our unique KNOB output stage.  It has 3 modes: clean, mild and dirty, its very touch sensitive, very pedal friendly.

The Elegant Knob......our 18 watt all tube handwired 2X6v6 KNOB circuit in a rackmount with a custom cabinet with 2 8 inch weber speakers for one very cool and "elegant" sound!

The Elegant Knob came about after a guitar player in Chicago heard The Knob at The Music Gallery in Highland Park.  Todd Klimek instantly fell in love with the tone , capabilities and looks and wanted just one thing...a combo amp!  After discussing Todds needs we decided on a compact size using the rack mount version and adding two 8 inch Weber speakers.  Todd has a blog on the whole build process and he couldnt be happier with the final product.
